Property Description

Lakefront family home with 5 beds located at 10 Evans Street, Lake Cathie. Lakehouse10 is a spacious, single level, modern, light-filled home where indoor and outdoors spaces coincide. Magnificent outdoor deck with lounge area, alfresco dining and Weber BBQ. A trail from the house leads to the lake. Two living areas. Large kitchen with gas stove and all appliances for a comfortable stay. Coffee machine. 5 minutes walk to the beach and playground, just 2 blocks away. Local cafe, takeaway and bowling club 3 minutes walk.
Port Macquarie CBD approximately 15-20 minutes drive.

LAY-OUT
Single level home great for families. The owners live here part of the year and share their home with you when they are travelling. You will find a well set up house.
Games and books are provided, and two kayaks are available for your use.
From the entrance you enter into the open plan living and kitchen space. To the left is the 2nd lounge room and hallway to master bedroom. To the right is the hallway to the other 3 bedrooms, laundry with washing machine and dryer and main bathroom. Bed room 3 and 4 have garden views and their own patio space.


Linen is provided, Your beds are made, no need to do chores upon arrival, all you need to do is rock up and enjoy yourselves, please bring your own beach towels.


PARKING
Driveway parking and free street parking. Double lock up garage is also available to guests.


PET FRIENDLY ON REQUEST – PRE-APPROVAL REQUIRED
Pet friendly on request, pre-approval from property manager required. We prefer outdoor and non-shedding small/medium size dogs. As a courtesy to the property owner kindly inform us about the type of breed. Please keep pets off lounge and beds.


OTHER
We cater to families and couples. Property not suitable for young adult groups, schoolies, uni-groups, large adult groups, hens or bucks crowds to keep our neighbours happy as property is located in a quiet street. We have other properties that might be suitable, just chat to us about your needs.

PLEASE NOTE
The lake is currently good for paddling, however water quality not recommended for swimming, due to the recent drought. The lake is a tidal lake and opens/closes from the ocean from time to time.

How to reach the property

GETTING THERE
From Sydney/South: take the M1 towards Taree and Brisbane. Take the Kew exit, follow coastal route 10 towards Laurieton and Port Macquarie. At Laurieton go left and follow North Haven, Bonny Hills, Lake Cathie, Port Macquarie.
From Brisbane/North: take the M1 towards Taree and Sydney and take the Lake Cathie/Bonny Hills exit. Follow the Lake Cathie signs. In Lake Cathie over the bridge, first left into Evans St. Your home is on the left.

Security Deposit

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 750.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival incur an admin fee of $100 and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites.*
  • Cancellations between 60 and 30 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus a $100 admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are generally not permitted and incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a $200 admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.
  • * Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

  • COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date, and in genuine cases waive all cancellation fees or apply the $100-$200 rule. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks and in that case we will apply our standard rules.

Common sense applies i.e. keep the property tidy upon departure, notify us of any damages, excess (cleaning) charges may apply when rules are not met.
