THE SPACE
This modern house is unique and captures your attention the moment you walk in. The house is decorated with quality (designer) furniture and an array of Australian and international art works. The house is set up as a true home, as the owners travel between two places for work and live here part of the year, hence you find a well equipped house with proper furniture and amenities to make your stay comfortable. Not your ordinary holiday house, a true home!

LAYOUT
The house has 3 levels, it is cosy enough for couples and small families and spacious enough for larger families to spread out.
Upstairs: open plan living, kitchen, TV room with sofa bed and bathroom 1. Three outdoor decks, two overlooking the ocean and mountains and one overlooking the garden. TV room and bathroom.
Downstairs middle level: 3 bedrooms, ensuite and main bathroom. Each room with its own balcony.
Lowest level: internal stairs lead to a fully self-contained apartment with 1 bedroom, lounge, kitchen, outdoor deck with hot tub and garden access. The apartment also has its own private outside entrance
Garden is accessible via the front and lowest level outdoor stairs.

PET FRIENDLY ON REQUEST - SMALL DOGS ONLY
Pet friendly for small dogs only, non-shedding preferred. Please chat to us about your needs and inform us about the type of dog, breed and age as courtesy to property owner. IMPORTANT Pets are not allowed on lounges and beds, please clean up after your dog. The garden is fully fenced and there are ample balconies throughout the house.
Lighthouse Beach is a dog friendly beach, dogs can roam free on the Eastern side of the beach from Watonga Rock onwards. Leash required on the Western side between Watonga Rock andTacking Point Lighthouse.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
A short walk down hill via secret steps takes you to Lighthouse beach where kids and dogs can roam free and it's great surf breaks. Tacking point lighthouse is 5-10 minutes walk. Watonga street cafe's, restaurants, gourmet local shops including butchery, bakery & patisserie, newsagent and bottle shop are 7 minutes walk; you will find an array of restaurants to choose from including Italian, Australian cuisine, and Chinese.

How to reach the property

GETTING THERE
From Sydney/South: take the M1 towards Taree and Brisbane. Take the Kew exit and start following coastal route 10 towards Laurieton and Port Macquarie. At Laurieton go left and follow North Haven, Bonny Hills, Lake Cathie, Port Macquarie. In Port Macquarie at Lighthouse Plaza (you see the Coles sign on your left hand side) take a left into Matthew Flinders Drive. Keep following the road for about 1 kilometer and take a left into Vendul Crescent, follow the road up and the house is on your left hand side.


TIP
You pass a big Woolworths supermarket on your left at Lakewood once you get off the highway if you like to stock up on supplies while driving in. Otherwise Coles supermarket is approx. 5min drive from the house and local stores about 3min drive. Meat can be pre-ordered from Wiggly Tail butchers.

Watonga street at Lighthouse beach has plenty of hip restaurants and cafe's, gourmet butcher shop, liquor store, and varies restaurants, Watonga Street is 5-10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive. Restaurants include Italian, Australian, Chinese. The Austrian butcher has gourmet homemade products. Bittersweet cafe has the best cakes, and Inside Out cafe yummy breakfast and lunch, juices and coffee.


Lighthouse Plaza local shopping centre is at the end of Matthew Flinders Drive, 5 minutes drive or 7min walk. It includes a Coles supermarket, bottleshop, tavern & bistro, chemist, BP gas station, takeaway food, hairdresser.


Port Macquarie CBD with more choices is 10 minutes drive away.

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 500.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made more than 42 days (6 weeks) prior to arrival incur are free of charge
  • Cancellations between 42 and 30 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.
  • * Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

  • COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks
