Property Description

Modern countryside home on 40 hectares with 3 rivers/creeks on-site, 6 beds, sleeps 2-10 guests. Get away from it all yet be close to core amenities. Great for couples and families. Hyndmans Creek is located 15 mins drive from the quaint rural hub Wauchope and 30 mins to Port Macquarie and its beaches. Enjoy your peace and quiet amongst the amazing outdoors. Spacious single level home with all comforts such as Aircon, free WIFI, Netflix, kayaks, boogie boards, fishing rods for use. Multiple outdoor areas, covered BBQ area, an open outdoor fire pit, ensures your escape from the city yet with all comforts at hand. Enjoy the silence, spotting wallabies and deer at dusk and star gazing at night, you can admire the milky way here in its full glory.

Just outside your front door is an adventures playground. The Hastings River is straight across the road, 5 minutes walk (300 meters), you have private river access, where you swim, kayak and can fish for bass, mullet, catfish or spot the local eels and platypus. Bring your bike or go for a walk to Hyndmans Creek located on the property, about 8 minutes walk. Great spot for a picnic and fossicking with the kids. The more adventurous can keep going to Green Wattle creek and to the end of the fence line, approximately 2 kilometers. You can see the cows and horses grazing in the fields and watch the sunset over Bago mountain.

THE SPACE
This single level modern home is fully renovated (end 2020 til April 2021) and is set in a quiet rural location in the hinterland of Port Macquarie, famous for its gourmet food farms, waterfalls and local hospitality. The house has a fully equipped modern kitchen, with Barrista style coffee machine, large living area and separate dining. Living area with smart TV and comfortable lounge. Laundry with washing machine.
The house has a two car garage with an entertainment hub inside. Great spot for the kids or big kids to hang out to play ping pong, darts and have their own TV. Plenty of outdoor seating area’s. Undercover BBQ. Outdoor fire pit with firewood supplied. Feel free to use the boogie boards (2x), fishing rods (2x) and kayaks (2x) and cricket set on site at your own risk. A selection of board games, puzzles and books are available for family entertainment.
Linen is provided, Your beds are made, no need to do chores upon arrival, all you need to do is rock up and enjoy yourselves!.

THE AREA / PROPERTY
After a day out on the property you can come and relax to the only sound around, the crackling fire while warming up and telling stories of the wallabies, kangaroos and deer spotted on the property during dusk. Have a look into the night sky and see the milky way and the millions of stars that light up the night. Enjoy the quiet surrounds and escape from it all.
Wauchope is your local hub, just 15 minutes drive, with trendy cafes, restaurants (very good Italian, Thai), taverns, hair salons, pubs, great clothes and furniture shopping, bakeries, butcher and your grocery stores.
The property is a great central location for day trips to the beaches of Port Macquarie, gourmet farm tours, mountain biking, various waterfalls, Comboyne plateau, and local mountain ranges.
NOTE: The property is located on the Oxley Highway, which is the road leading inland (West) from Port Macquarie and Wauchope towards Walcha and Armidale. A car passes by approximately every 5-10 minutes during the day time. Without the daytime traffic it is very silence, you hear birds, wildlife and trees.

How to reach the property

GETTING THERE
From Sydney/South: take the M1 towards Newcastle, Taree and Brisbane. Take the M1 towards Newcastle, Taree, Port Macquarie. Take the Port Macquarie / Wauchope exit, follow Wauchope, drive through Wauchope, you will see Timbertown on your left hand side when driving out of town again. Now you have approx 15 min to go just follow Oxley Highway, you will pass Huntington public school, you are getting close, approx. 5 minutes, you cross a few creeks and after you cross Hyndmans Creek the house is on your left hand side, the grey house, there is a holiday let sign on the gate.

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 300.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made more than 42 days (6 weeks) prior to arrival incur are free of charge
  • Cancellations between 42 and 30 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.
  • * Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

  • COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks
