OTHER - NOTEWORTHY INFO
Akama Vista is located in a residential area at the back of the block behind the main house Akama Lookout in the front of the property. Akama Vista unit in the back and the main house are totally private, you don't see each other other than passing each other on the driveway. You will see part of two neighbouring houses in the back.


The owner, a local builder, lives in the font house with his wife, teenage daughter, poodle dog, two small cats and a bird. From time to time there are upgrades done to the front property which may result in extra vehicles on the driveway.


Akama means Aboriginal for Whale.

How to reach the property

HOW TO GET HERE

From Sydney/South: Take the M1 towards Newcastle, Taree, Brisbane. Get off at exit Kew/Laurieton and start following Coastal Route 10 towards Laurieton/Port Macquarie. At Laurieton turn left towards Port Macquarie, you'll come through North Haven and then Bonny Hills. When you enter the 50km zone in Bonny Hills, take a right turn into Third Ave, at the end turn left, first right, again right, then left and the house is on your right hand side.


From Brisbane/North: Take the M1 towards Bonny Hills/Lake Cathie exit. Follow the Bonny Hills signs keep driving on Ocean Road and take a left at Jordan avenue the road bends right and goes into Honeysuckle road, keep following it around the corner and the house is on your left.

Walk to beach and nature trails (dog friendly). Closest beach is just a the corner of the street near the Norfolk pine tree, great rock formations offer hours of play time and ideal beach for shell collection.

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 100.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your sitation and options available. Generally our refund policy is as follows:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival incur an admin fee of $100 and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites.*
  • Cancellations between 60 and 30 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus a $100 admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are generally not permitted and incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a $200 admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.

* Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.
